The Amuleto Italiano, also known as an Italian horn, is a charm shaped like a twisted horn or chili pepper. Originating in Italy, it's traditionally worn as a talisman to protect against the "evil eye" and bring good luck. The word "cornicello" means "little horn" in Italian, and the charm is often made from gold, silver, or red coral.
Historically, the cornicello symbol is linked to ancient Roman and Neapolitan culture and symbolizes fertility, virility, and protection. Its twisted horn shape resembles that of an animal horn, which ancient Italians believed could fend off negative energy and bring prosperity.
